Dental Scholars is a one-year, service-learning paid fellowship for recent bachelor degree graduates interested in serving underserved populations and exploring nonprofit leadership! Work in your gap year at Interfaith Dental, get experience in a dental office, network with and learn from countless dental professionals; it’s a win-win! Seniors/recent grads especially - check out more info below.* You can also click here to hear from their current Dental Scholar, Michael.
Any questions? Thoughts? Please reach out to Andrea Stilwell at [email protected] or 615-921-5168. We thank you so much!
*Dental Scholars Program Information:
By providing early exposure to honorable work through the Scholars program, Interfaith Dental aims to provide a firm foundation for Scholars to build professional and personal values, work ethic and perspective that forwards our mission to care for one another in our Middle TN community. The program runs annually July-June, and Scholars are expected to commit to the entire 12 months. Scholars are compensated as full-time staff members of Interfaith Dental, receiving an hourly pay for 40 hours per week and a full-benefits package that includes health insurance, access to dental care at Interfaith Dental, and Scholars also receive paid vacation days. Working across the organization provides Dental Scholars approximately 2,000 hours practical, real-world work experience in a dental office! Please email [email protected], or call (615) 921-5168 with questions or to submit your resume AND cover letter for 2021-22 consideration. This is a great opportunity to consider for seniors/recent graduates who are planning for a gap year (or perhaps plan A for immediate acceptance to dental school didn’t materialize). Students who aren’t seniors currently should also keep this on the radar for future planning – time will fly!
